This is Carole's quarter sawn white oak grain home office. to many of you the quarter sawn is going to remind you of Grandma's furniture. That is because this is the preferred method of harvesting a tree befor the 1930's when the industry learned how to kiln dry wood.

This set of photographs is during installation of the desk, storage and bed modules. We used a SICO EuroBed queen size system with a built in wooden slat foundation.

In the photographs that will follow next month, art will have been applied to the bed face panel of this queen bed and interior lighting accenting the ChemMetal horizontal bands complementing the medium walnut stain finish. I'll talk more about this next month.
